Clarence House of Matlock Bath

Clarence House is a Country Manor House dating back to 1816. The property was originally a hydropathic hotel, which used local Spa waters to cure people's ills in the days before modern medicine. It was then converted into a dwelling and housed local nobility and merchants.

At the turn of the 20th Century the property fell into a period of vacancy and thus began to show signs of neglect. Now Kilkenny Homes have rescued and superbly renovated this exquisite piece of period architecture, perfectly combining old world features with contemporary living.

The best materials have been imported from all over the world and then assembled by highly skilled tradesman, handpicked by local property entrepreneur Alan Kilkenny. Incorporating only 5 apartments, it is this meticulousness and attention to detail that has made Clarence House one of Derbyshire's most exclusive developments.
